Since the start of 2021 I have run 10km or further 66 times (as of 21st July). The chart below shows the speed of these runs (in km/h). Click on the image of the chart to view in full resolution.
In April and May I was running my easy/recovery/long runs a bit too fast, but since then I’ve not had the time make my long runs ‘long’, so I have been running a lot of 10-11km runs slowly.
I did run a 5km PB last week, but as I am racing a half marathon at the start of September, I’ll have to find the time for a proper weekly long run of at least 15km, and some more speed/interval work. I have already started to incorporate more hills into some of my 10km+ runs.
